Made in Germany, that is the RITZENHOFF programme. At the company headquarters of Familien AG in Marsberg Essentho in the beautiful Sauerland region, things get hot 365 days a year. Very hot to be precise: at 1,500 degrees Celsius the "primeval soup", a mixture of quartz sand, soda, potash and potassium nitrate, bubbles and boils and is processed into beautiful crystal glass in the form of drinking glasses.
The popular glass collections of the RITZENHOFF brand are sold in Germany anyway, but also in over 60 countries around the world. More than 300 creative people and artists work worldwide and bring their designs to the glasses. This is what makes them so special and unmistakable. Whether CHAMPUS, milk, beer, schnapps or Cocktail Culture at Home, all glasses are produced, decorated, packed and stored at the company's headquarters until delivery. From the development of the glass mould, through production and refinement using the latest various techniques, to storage and dispatch in our own logistics centre, all production steps take place on site. RITZENHOFF's machinery is in a continuous process of innovation; there are no standard machines for glass production. Processes and technology are constantly being developed, optimised and adapted to market requirements. This is the only way to ensure that crystal glass production is always at the cutting edge of technology. This also applies to finishing. Various printing techniques are available to the customer. For example, direct printing, which prints up to eight colours simultaneously on a glass, or decals, which are printed in our own printing shop, applied to the glass by hand and then fired. Should it be a precious metal rim made of gold or platinum? No problem! Direct printing with organic colours has also been possible for some time now. The big advantage here is that the inks are dishwasher safe. This is appreciated not only by the catering trade, but also by collectors of the popular design collections. So the collections are very popular, especially as gifts for different occasions. And since there are always new trendy drinks, the developers at RITZENHOFF are guaranteed not to get bored in the future.
