Alessandro Gottardo / Shout

Born in Pordenone in 1977, the artist studies fine arts in Venice and illustration in Milano before working for renowned enterprises and publishers worldwide. His works are published in magazines like “The New York Times” and “All Street Journal” and have been awarded with the gold medal of the “Society of Illustrators” and the “Society of Publication Designers”. His clients include Coca-Cola, American Express, and Volkswagen.
Since 2005, he works under the pseudonym “Shout”. The name stands for his aspiration of putting the expression of personal beliefs above the development of simple, commercially applicable solutions. In keeping with the motto “Idea always triumphs over style” he focuses in his graphic work on the essential and creates minimalist narrative scenes of stunning attraction. Even though his works are computer-generated, they come across as hand-drawn and prompt the viewer to challenge his own way of perception and dare a second gaze.
