Piergiorgio Robino / Nucleo
Artist collective from Torino
“Nucleo” is a collective of six artists directed by Piergiorgio Robino and based in Torino, Italy. The interdisciplinary team focuses on creating three-dimensional objects in the fields of design, architecture and contemporary art. The nucleus of their work is the exploration of different time-frames – with past, presence and future merging in the artworks. The tactile experience is a significant part of the objects created, some of which remind of fossils or refer to the Bronze Age or Iron Age. Nucleo’s designs are found in museums and exhibitions worldwide – at Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris or Chelsea Art Museum in New York, to just name a few.
